assalamualaikum..
semester baru dah pun mula dengan selambanya. minggu pertama trial klas so tak ada ape yang spesel untuk diceritakan di sini.
last weekend an pegi homestay dekat saitama. stayed with a japanese family for two days and one night. a family of young japanese couple with a 5 years old son. it was fun. learned a lot about their culture. they treat a guess with a 5 star hotel hospitality. :) we ate makizhushi for dinner and my nasi goreng which i cooked earlier that morning before i depart to saitama. alhamdulillah they liked it. on sunday, we headed out to the japanese dolls museum. 雛人形(hina ningyou) . we were the only visitors by that time and it was a small museum actually. and while we were looking at the displays, came this old man out of nowhere and started to annai(forgot the english word) us throughout the museum.
he explained a lot about the dolls, and the ancient custom of the japanese like odd numbers are good meanwhile the even numbers are bad. for example, if the king or the royal family is born on the 2nd or 4th or any even date of the month, they will still write or choose odd numbers as the official date for their birthday.
and if you see the decorations for hina ningyou used for hina matsuri(the celebration for girls who turned 20 years old), the numbers of the dolls used are odd numbers. the are 7 rows of decorations from bottom to top. note that the 1st row(bottom) , the middle decoration is higher/bigger than the one on the left and the right side, which simbolizes mount(山)。meanwhile, the second row's center decorations are smaller than those on the left and right side, which simbolizes valley(谷)。these two rows means that in life there will be the good times and also the bad times .
note that the layers of sweets up there are also odd numbers (5 layers).
fuuh..
*komfem kat atas ad banyak typo and grammar mistake. but now im too tired to check and im just gonna click publish button after this. got this 1gen class tomorrow morning. nyte people. :)
